Zubaida Khanum was introduced in film "Billo" by Baba
Chishti in 1951. She was the most successful female playback singer in the 50s.
Some of her top musical films are Shehri Babu, Pattan, Patay Khan, Sarfrosh,
Hameeda, Baaghi, Guddi Gudda, Heer, Chann Mahi, Mahi Munda, Yakke Wali, Saat
Lakh, Ishq-e-Laila, Zehr-e-ishq, Chhoomantar, Mukhra, Sheikh Chilli, Jatti,
Kartar Singh, Koel, Raaz, Sola Aaney, Naaji, Mitti dian Moortan, Ayaz, Raat ke
rahi and many other films. She appeared as second heroine in film Patay Khan
with Zarif who plyaed the title role. (Madam Noor Jehan was the first heroine in
this film). Zubaida Khanum stopped her film career after marriage in the end of
the 50s.
