Style Your Hair
Do
find a stylist that you trust and connect with. Make an appointment for a
consultation only. Discuss some hair styling options and weigh
alternatives with your stylist. Take your time making any final decisions
about new hair directions. If you want radical changes consider making
them in stages.
Do know that there is no right hair length. Wear your
hair at a length that creates a graceful silhouette with your body, head,
neck, shoulders and face. If you have a length preference, ask your
stylist to help you find the best style within that range.
Do work
with a colorist if you want to make hue changes. While the right
highlights and lowlights can lighten and brighten, too much color or the
wrong shades can clash with your natural skin tone. A talented
professional colorist can achieve a fabulous new look that compliments
your eye and skin shades.
Do color your hair at home if you prefer.
Make sure to select a color that is soft, natural and flattering to you.
When in doubt, select temporary shades that allow you to experiment but
wash out after a few shampoo treatments.
Diamonds and platinum are
favoured among the well to do with Nakshatra diamonds and international
brand jewellery coming in.
Don't try to wear your hair in a style that
isn't compatible with your hair texture and type. Keep in mind that styles
that work for curly girls may be all wrong for stick straight locks and
vice versa.
Black Elegance
The colour black is no doubt the colour of sophistication,
elegance, mystery and has a great deal of raw sex value. It is one of the
few colours that is figure flattering and goes with almost anything. But
black magic is not all. If you really want to stand out at parties, you
have to accessorise, accessorise and accessorise.
If you're wearing
colour, think about jewellery that's more about the metal - gold or silver
- and not the stone. You don't need to be matchy; you can go two shades
darker. If the dress is metallic or black, wear very simple stone
jewellery and stay away from big jewellery, especially if the dress is
beaded. If you're wearing a beaded strapless dress, maybe all you need are
earrings.
Adding a pair of over-the-elbow gloves to a sleeveless black
velvet dress will flatter your dress. And a splash of pink -- the most
talked-about shade this season and it will give an instant update to an
all-black outfit. Choose a pair of strappy pink heels with crystal accents
for your little black
dress
